Oahu Fishing Charter Boats

Oahu, often referred to as the “main” island or The Gathering Place, is known for its visitor resort area, Waikiki and the largest city in the islands, Honolulu. On Oahu, most of the charter fishing boats run from Kewalo Basin, which is only a short 5-10 minute drive from Waikiki hotels. The fishing grounds are not too far out off the south shore. By the time the boats get out of the harbor and set the lure pattern, you are getting into the good fishing grounds. Oahu does have a good sized leeward shore, so if the trades are brisk, the boats can go to the Waianae Coast and be in calmer waters and still be in the fishing grounds. Oahu also has a shallower area off of Waikiki where inshore bottom fishing over the reef is fun for families and those wanting a more casual fishing excursion in calmer waters. Magic

• Type of Boat: 50' Pacifica (twin diesel, flybridge) 57' LOA

• Captains: Capt. Russell Tanaka and Capt. "Toots"

• Type of Gear Used: Penn & Shimano 130's, Penn 50's, Fin-nor Rods.

• Fish Disposition: Boat will filet individual fish under 80lbs and give you up to 40lbs of fish to take with you on a private trip. (3-5 servings per person of your own catch starting with smallest fish on a shared trip).. Boat will also make arrangements for mounting. Fish over 80lbs are not cut.

• Amenities: Air Conditioning, TV, VCR, stereo, microwave, large bridge, superior riding boat.

• Maximum number of passengers: 6

Wild Bunch

• Type of Boat: 41' Hatteras (twin diesel, flybridge)

• Captain: Daniel Kalahele

• Type of Gear: Penn & Shimano 130's, assortedShimano & Penn 20's to 80's. Flyfishing and ultralight tackle is also carried.

• Fish Disposition: Tag & Release upon request unless fish will not survive. You may take any fish under 100 lbs so long as you can use it. All fish can be mounted and boat will assist.

• Amenities: Air Conditioning, TV, CD-stereo, Microwave, Refrigerator.

• Maximum # of passengers: 6

• Specialty trips offered: Combo trips of trolling, whale watching, romantic sunset cruises. Flyfishing can be accommodated (please let us know when booking). Kid friendly.

  • Rate: Full day private (6am-3pm) $1450 including tax

  • Rate: 3/4 day private (6am-1pm) $1350 including tax

  • Rate: 1/2 day private (6am-11am) $1250 including tax

Mattie

• Type of Boat: 47' Cabo Express (twin diesel, flybridge, tuna tower)

• Max Passengers: 6

• Fish Disposition: Tag & Release upon request unless the fish will not survive. Crew will filet a portion of the catch to take with you for dinner as long as you can use it.

• Amenities: A/C, entertainment system, kitchen, restrooms, comfortable salon.

• Trips Include: Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages on all trips, catered lunch included on full day trip. Cooler with ice is provided to bring your own beverages (alcohol is OK) if desired. All fishing gear is provided.

• Maximum # of passengers: 6

• Trips offered: Deep sea trolling.

  • Rates: Plus 4.712% tax:

  • Full Day 9 Hour private (6:30 or 8:30am start): $1800.

  • 1/2 Day 5 Hour private (6:30am or noon start) $1050

IWA KAI

• Type of Boat: 70' Striker (74' overall length, 24' beam)

• Max Passengers: 12

• Amenities: Flat screen TV's, sound system, A/C, hot tub, full kitchen, restrooms, luxury accommodations huge comfortable bridge, smooth ride and much more.

• Trips Include: Fishing and/or snorkeling gear, juice, water and sodas. Cooler with ice is provided to bring your own food and drinks. 6am trip includes coffee and tea with bagels or pastries. Catering is available for an additional charge.

• Trips offered: Fishing, snorkeling, cruise or combination of those.

  • Rates: Plus 4.712% tax:

  • Full Day 8 Hour private trip: $2600 up to 12 passengers.

  • 3/4 Day 6 Hour private trip: $2100 up to 12 passengers.

Inshore "Fun" Bottom Fishing off Waikiki

Enjoy an afternoon of fishing on calm, near-shore waters while gazing at the beautiful sights of Waikiki and Oahu's south shore.  This trip is perfect as a compliment to an offshore trip or for those who would rather stay close to shore.  Great trip for families with kids as each person gets to hold their own rod.  Trip runs from 11am - 2pm daily.

The trip includes all the fishing gear, juice and water. You can keep your catch depending on what type of fish you catch. Bring your own snacks and beverages. All ages are welcome.   A great family activity! 

Rate (plus 4.712% Oahu Sales Tax): $83 per person.
