May/June Fishing Report

We’ve gotten a bit behind in posting the monthly fishing report, time seems to fly by fast these days! May brought some nice Ono and Mahimahi making for some good action and multiple catches on trips. So far in June, we have seen some really nice Ahi (Yellowfin Tuna) in the 100lb plus range. Summer is the best time for Ahi so we should keep seeing Ahi throughout the summer. Summer is also the best time for the big Blue Marlin and some nice Blues were caught in May and early June, but we haven’t heard of a really huge one yet this season, but the summer is just getting started. Look for Blue Marlin, Ahi and Ono throughout the summer.

On Kauai, Tom the bass guide has been getting some really nice Largemouth Bass in the 6-7lb range, so some exciting catches. The Peacock Bass have not been biting as of yet, but it’s just warmed up so hopefully we will see more Peacock’s this month and into the summer.
