Nice Ahi on the Mauna Kea
Hawaii has finally opened back up to tourism and June has been very busy. Most of the boats are already booked up for the entire month of June, so we recommend booking early if you plan to fish this summer. Boats have been catching some nice Blue Marlin, Ono, Mahimahi and of course this is the prime time for Ahi (yellowfin tuna). A nice Ahi was brought in on the boat Mauna Kea in Kona on June 8. It wasn’t weighed, but is estimated to be around 110lb. The fish have been waiting for us to come back and challenge them so this summer is a great time to fish, just be sure to book ahead!
