Now that covid restrictions have ended and visitors are coming back to Hawaii, we are finally getting back in the groove of things and writing a fishing report. So far the spring has been great for Mahimahi, which is not surprising as the Mahi’s are usually around in the spring and fall months. The boats have also been catching Ono (Wahoo) lately, at least off Oahu they have which is early for the Ono season normally starting in May. Some nice Blue Marin have also been reported, some over 400lbs. Recently, the boats have been reporting some good sized Ahi (Yellowfin Tuna) as well as smaller tuna we call Aku. Spearfish have also been caught. Look for Mahimahi to continue to be good into April.
